- Exercise: hum 54321
- tongue up against teeth
- feel the hum through out your body
- let it vibrate
- let the breath come through, don't worry about the voicing

- move air through the notes (notes are pitch thoughts dropped on air)
- keep thinking he vowel and singing it pure
- My musical theatre voice can be the cornerstone for my classical voice
- my musical theatre vowels are more focused and that can be used in my classical
- whole body becomes an amplification system
- spreading tall through out the body
- Exercise: [i] [a] [i] [a] [i] 54321 with flips on the notes
- let it start and stay in head voice, bring the head voice down
- then give it breath energy and confidence
- sing with abandon
- The operatic voice is head voice spread down through the body
- Exercise: [a] 12345678987654321
- taller [a] as in father, and stay there even if you feel a desire to shift
- imagine it stretching up bright but tall, let it be confident
- just let the top come out (rather than punching it)
- let your vowels be normal with a floaty tongue
- Your larynx is smart, trust it! Play. Think chaos and destruction if you need to let go a little bit. Allow your body to figure things out.
- Vowels don't need to change as resonance changes
- Exercise: [ŋi] [ŋe] [ŋa] [ŋo] [ŋu] 555554321
- focus the [ŋ] and the vowel somewhere
- let it spin and enjoy it
- feel it on the bridge of your nose
- don't use a tight hand gesture
- Exercise [fa] 8-5-3-1
- generous [f] to help the breath move and continue flowing
- quiet [a] moves out away far from you
- cresecendo as you let the pitches float down on air
- air moves the entire time, it's a fast spin
- CHAOS AND DISASTER
- When the breath is in charge this is called flow phonation
- Exercise: sigh down through range and stay in the lighter register the entire time
- use breathy to find it
- focus in middle where it might flip over
- reduces use of vocalis muscles
- Exercise: [ne] 1-3-5-8-5-3-1
- slightly breathy open mouth
- annoying sound
- top should feel like bottom in throat
- MT but taller
- one big note, one breath pressue
- faster
- top doesn't need to be punched
- ugly sound
- Exercise: [v] with air buzzing
- move around voice and make sure air doesn't stop as I go up

- Finding body energy through out the piece, not just on the high notes
- Use the feeling on the high notes to find it in your middle range
- Don’t be afraid of it being loud
- Don’t push it either, just trust it
- Let the voice and air move through the consonants while keeping upper body
- Let complete thoughts be all one note
- Keep doing/working: smiley in back of face, excitement in eyes, high tongue in the back
