Saige Barlow - Exercise 1 - “C”

In this exercise, I start by breathing in through my nose and then singing the letter “C” gently starting on G and slide down gently to C. I then do the same thing descending down until I reach either low G or low F. Then, I jump up to a higher key (Bb or C) and I ascend to the higher range. Sometimes, I go until I reach the top of my range.

The goal of this exercise is to get comfortable in the head voice while still maintaining a strong support in the core. It’s also helpful for me in the sense that it opens up the airways and gets me breathing in the most open and appropriate way possible.
