Gideon Benge - Voice Recital Hour 11/2

Notes on a few of the spectacular performers we were fortunate enough to hear today in VRH.

Lauren C. - It was a pretty song. Breath support was suboptimal however, and there was a bit too much tightness. Because of these things, the intonation and tone quality on many of the notes suffered.

Archer D. - Voice is a bit breathy. He put a lot of passion into the song and he knew his part perfectly. He didn't strain on the highest the notes, but he did let himself strain leading up to them, causing an obvious shift in registers. Great diction.

Tanner D. - Could use better attacks, and having more focus in the lower segments of the song like you do in the high parts would really help, even when it's quiet it needs support and energy. He's done some good work on phrasing and fixing the support, focus, and attack issues it would be stellar.

Lily G. - She is very relaxed and it is fantastic. She needs a bit more resonance for the sound to really lock in, as it is too much in the throat right now.
