Patrice- Recital Hour- 10/07/21

 Kaylyn Baldwin

Mozart Song

  • Beautiful job
  • work from the top notes done to confirm placement of those higher notes

Nick Walker

  • you tuck your chin when you have leaps and hit lower notes, I think being aware of that will be helpful
  • you have a fantastic tone!
Miranda Mann

   Faure

  • Breath support is lacking in higher tones
  • it sounds like your missing that support overall, sing from your diaphragm up, not just lungs or head
Allison Orton

Rain on My Parade Funny Girl

  • She have such a fun and engaging tone/style
  • diction seems to be a bit weird- sometimes she was very harsh with her attacks and other time she wasn't.
  • I feel like her belt was strong at times, but often was pushed
Camryn Rasmussen

One Perfect Moment Bring it On

  • at times the sound is very focused, but when she sing quieter her focus gets lost
  • sustained notes are pretty good
  • relax your hands
Caden Webb

Schumann

  • he has a wonderful sound, color, and support
  • The focus in his voice gets a bit lost when he sings piano
  • Fined a place to focus your eyes, they tend to wander
Megan R

A Horse with Wings Ricky Ian Gordon

  • It sounds like her sound sits just below her nose or on her tongue
  • Things sound tight as she ascends, which makes it harder to hit those higher notes
  • Beautiful song, done well, a lot of potential
Anna Small

Home Beauty and the Beast

  • sound is more swallowed, a bit nasal
  • lack of breath support lead to pitchy notes
  • Sing phrases with the higher notes slow, slide up to the notes to help find the right placement
  • Be aware of your hands
Annika Stevenson

I can't be Talking of Love John Duke

  • I loved your tone on this song when you had more of a chest voice
  • I think bringing the sound from your chest voice will help with your breath support
Tori Turner

Joy Ricky Ian Gordon

  • Great presence
  • I think your tone will have more resonance if you open your mouth more, especially on your high notes
Hope Weaver

So Big, So Small Dear Evan Hansen

  • So, I totally cried.
  • Beautiful job.
  • When you sing softer, you seam to lose your breath support a bit
Kayla Winkle

Oblivion Kayla Winkle and Sara Hunter

  • Sometimes you are drowned out by the piano, especially the lower notes
  • You lose support on the higher notes, especially when you sing softer
  • Beautiful song- very nice!
Tanner Pruett

Spring Florence Price

  • The focus on the higher notes when you leap back and forth quickly gets a bit lost
  • I love watching you perform
  • Great job!!
