My voice lesson was a little rough going. I just felt so tight and my breathing was so weak! I'll be 100% honest, I'm not used to solo singing with a mask and that was absolutely awful. I just didn't feel confident in my breath. I think I could have done a better job having a slower breath so my mask wouldn't suck into my face, but I just wasn't confident that I would get a good breath. Laurie did an awesome job by having me lip buzz my piece but don't breath unless I absolutely had to. This helped me realize that I could be confident with my breath. I had enough breath to make it through without feeling like I need to suck in air. Laurie mentioned that if I suck in air fast, the air will want to escape fast. This really helped me visualize how I want my breath to be.
