3. Stand with feet a little past hip width apart and bend over placing your hands horizontally on thighs. Take a deep breath in paying attention to where the air flow goes and feels in your body. Exhale slowly. One can even sing a portion of their repertoire in this position and pay attention to how your body feels when you do so.
4. Standing, breathing, and singing in this position benefits in three-fold. It helps to create a channel of air and connects the air-flow for the deepest possible breaths. It helps to relax and release tension in your back and abdomen. And it releases tension in your laryngical muscles so that you can sing more freely and without tension.
